Great edition of a great book.
If it wasn't for the fact that the external covers are just plain black cardboards, I would have definitely rated this version of the book 5 stars
I typically do not buy books online because ou never know the condition they are in, but I caved when I could not find this or the philosopher’s stone in stores near me. As a lifelong Harry Potter fan and slytherin since Pottermore was launched, I was very excited when these books came out. Much like the Philosopher’s Stone copy I received, this book’s dust cover is severely scuffed to the point where it looks like it was rubbed in dirt and sand before being sealed in plastic. Very disappointed in the dust cover, but the rest of the book is perfect. There are fun facts and quizzes in the back of the book along with beautiful artwork pertaining to the Houses.
I’m a Gryffindor all the way, but I wanted a variety of the 20th anniversary edition books. What better house to choose for the chamber of secrets than Slytherin? The book arrived quickly and has great extra material. I love the colors and the compilation. The only downside was that the book arrived just thrown in a box that was much too large. It was not wrapped or protected in any way and the front cover had a black smear that I could not get to come off. It would have been a perfect transaction if they took care with the packaging. All in all it’s well worth the gamble and hope that you’d get an unblemished copy.
The Chamber of Secrets Slytherin edition is AWESOME!!! Inspected for any damage and it came in GOOD condition and I’m looking forward to reading it along with getting all Slytherin edition to all the HP books but they only got it to the first 2 books. STILL, great hardcover copy.
The book is beautiful, and I love the extra drawings and information they have included with these books. Most of them have little quizzes in the back too. Definitely worth it for a collector of this series. I will say though, do not read the preface if you have not read the books yet, as they will spoil things that happen in the series. But by now most people have already read them, so you should be fine. XD
This book was also purchased as a gift the book is fine everything got here fine not as expected I may be incorrect say but it seemed like it took longer than it should have although maybe I was just a ditch too hasty package like I said was delivered sign the books look wonderful like brand new hardcover and no scratches or anything so thank you
